Ksenia Koroleva is a Russian law qualified associate in Latham & Watkins’ Moscow office. Ms. Koroleva has experience advising large Russian and international banks and corporate clients on all aspects of finance transactions in Russia and the CIS. She also advises large Russian and international banks, insurance companies, payment systems, and global IT companies on regulatory issues relating to e-banking, operation of payment systems, telecom services, and data protection issues in Europe, Russia, and the CIS.

  • International banks and payment systems on e-banking, electronic signatures, money transfers, and related regulations in Russia
  • International clients in connection with the Russian data protection regime, its comparison with the GDPR, and cross-border transfer of personal data from Russia
  • Telecom companies on licensing, disclosure, and cross-border transfer of subscriber information and regulations applicable to privacy of communications
  • Various global companies on the implications of the latest Russian and CIS regulations on the Internet, including the Russian and CIS data localization rules
  • International clients on data breaches, data security, and related notification rules
  • Sberbank of Russia as arranger in respect of a US$325 million financing for the NordGold group involving guarantees from various group entities
  • Gazprombank as arranger in respect of US$240 million secured acquisition financing to O1 Properties for the purposes of acquiring from Capital Group over 40,000 square meters of office space in Tsvetnoy Legend Business Center
  • VTB group in connection with amendments to a US$240 million facility agreement for the purposes of acquisition of White Gardens, a Class A 63,000 square meter business center in Moscow
  • ING Group in respect of a US$150 million financing for NordGold SE, a major gold producing company
