Patrick Laporte is a partner in the Paris office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department. Mr. Laporte mainly represents industrial clients with a particular focus on the aerospace and defense, energy, finance, media and advertising, and telecommunication sectors.

His practice spans a wide range of major public and private domestic and cross border M&A transactions including stock exchange-related transactions and joint ventures.

  • Auchan Holding in its 50.1% sale of Oney Bank SA to BPCE
  • Siemens AG in the combination of its mobility business, including its rail traction drive business, in a merger of equals with Alstom SA, representing a combined revenue of €15.3 billion
  • FMC Technologies in its merger of equals with Technip to create TechnipFMC
  • Alcatel-Lucent Board of Directors in the combination between Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia
  • Schlumberger Limited, the world’s largest oilfield services company, in its sale of Schlumberger Business Consulting its oil consulting business, to Accenture
  • Expedia in its acquisition of Auto Escape, a leading European online car rental reservation companies to Montefiore Investment
  • Lagardère in its sale of a 20% stake in Canal+ France, a provider of cable television and radio broadcasting services via satellite, to Vivendi
