Hiring Scam Warning

Be aware that there are individuals impersonating Latham attorneys or staff, offering fake work-from-home positions.

Latham & Watkins LLP will never make an offer of employment without meeting a candidate in person in one of our offices. Latham & Watkins LLP will never interview a candidate via text message, Google Hangouts or social media. Nor will Latham ever ask an applicant to pay a fee or purchase training materials in connection with an application for employment. In some cases, the scam involves a purported “overpayment” that the victim is asked to write a check to repay. Latham & Watkins LLP will never ask a new employee to refund an overpayment in this manner. A legitimate inquiry from Latham & Watkins LLP will always come from an email ending in “@lw.com.” No other email domain is an official communication from Latham & Watkins LLP.

If you have been approached as part of this hiring scam, please consider reporting this to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at https://www.ic3.gov.

If you have any doubt whatsoever about a job offer or any other communication purporting to come from Latham & Watkins LLP, you may call your nearest Latham office to confirm. Our offices can be found here.
