Simon Tysoe is a partner in the Corporate Department of the London office, and served as former Co-Chair of the firm’s Oil & Gas Industry Group. Mr. Tysoe specializes in transactions in the energy sector, and has extensive experience advising clients on a range of cross-border energy and natural resources transactions including upstream, mid-stream, and downstream oil and gas M&A, joint ventures, restructuring, and project development.

  • TotalEnergies on the US$330 million sale of its German subsidiaries interests in Kazakhstan's Dunga oil and gas field to Oriental Sunrise Corp Ltd
  • SierraCol Energy (a Carlyle portfolio company) on its US$825 million acquisition of Occidental’s (Oxy) entire onshore oil and gas portfolio in Colombia 
  • EIG on its US$19 billion joint venture with Repsol Upstream, a newly-formed global oil and gas exploration and production company
  • TotalEnergies on its sale of TEPKRI Sarsang, a Denmark-based oil and gas exploration and production company, to ShaMaran Petroleum
  • ExxonMobil Corporation on its sale of its entire upstream and midstream asset portfolio in Chad and Cameroon to Savannah Energy plc
