Susan Ambler Ebersole is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Health Care & Life Sciences Practice Group.
Ms. Ebersole provides healthcare regulatory and litigation counsel to healthcare companies including academic medical centers, medical device and diagnostic manufacturers, pharmaceutical and biotech firms, and other sectors of the healthcare industry. Her particular focus is on health information privacy and security, including compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 (HITECH), and federal and state privacy and information security laws.
Ms. Ebersole has represented healthcare industry clients in trials before state and federal courts as well as in investigations by government agencies, including the US Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights.
