Sony Ben-Moshe is a member of the Finance Department of the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Ben-Moshe is fluent in Spanish and has developed significant expertise representing clients in financings, acquisitions and formation of joint ventures in the United States and abroad, including in Latin America. His experience includes:
- The structuring, documentation and negotiation of financing arrangements for secured financing transactions, including in the hospitality and gaming sector and energy sector
- Representation of issuers and underwriters in connection with 144A offerings and private placements of debt instruments
- Representation of various parties in connection with the formation of joint ventures
- Development and financing of greenfield construction projects, including in the energy sector and gaming and hospitality sector
Mr. Ben-Moshe is Co-chair of the firm's Gaming and Hospitality Practice and Latin America Practice. He was previously named one of the Top 20 California lawyers under the age of 40 by California Law Business. In 2012 he was named a Leading Lawyer for his work in Leisure & Hospitality by Chambers USA and a Top Attorney for his Real Estate & Construction practice by the San Diego Daily Transcript.

- Sempra Energy in connection with the development and financing of a wind farm in Baja California, Mexico
- Bank of America and Deutsche Bank in connection with the approximately US$900 million secured credit facilities and unsecured notes for MotorCity Casino in Detroit, Michigan
- Sempra Energy in connection with the development and construction of liquefied natural gas receiving terminals in Baja California, Mexico and Cameron, Louisiana
- ConocoPhillips, ChevronTexaco and Petróleos de Venezuela, SA in connection with the multi-tranche financing of the US$4.1 billion Hamaca heavy crude oil recovery project in Venezuela
- Bank of America in the senior secured facilities for the Parx Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Goldman Sachs in connection with the US$2.5 billion senior secured financing of various hotels/casino resorts to be owned and operated by Las Vegas Sands in the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China
- Goldman Sachs in connection with the US$5 billion senior secured financing for Las Vegas Sands’ properties in Las Vegas, Nevada
- ExxonMobil Corporation and Petróleos de Venezuela, SA in connection with the US$900 million capital markets and commercial bank financing of a heavy crude oil recovery project in Venezuela
- Credit Suisse in the construction financing for the Des Plaines casino
