Dr. Christina Ungeheuer is a banking and finance partner in the Frankfurt office. Prior to her career in a law firm she worked in the legal department of a major German bank.
Ms. Ungeheuer represents financial institutions, companies and sponsors in acquisition finance and other non-recourse or limited-recourse transactions and other areas of corporate finance. She also advises financial institutions in respect of a broad array of financial products such as the issue of warrants and certificates.
She is listed as a "leading name" in bank lending and acquisition finance by JUVE 2012/13 and The Legal 500 EMEA 2011. Chambers Global 2012 features Ms. Ungeheuer in Band 1 for acquisition finance and syndicated lending. In Handelsblatt Best Lawyers 2011 she is listed as one of the top lawyers for banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, acquisition finance and private equity in Germany.
In addition to her German legal qualifications, which include a Ph.D. (Dr. jur., 1995), she studied law in Keele/England and is a trained banker (Bankkauffrau). She was a full time assistant lecturer at the Institute for Business and Civil Law at the University of Frankfurt.
