Dr. Christina Ungeheuer is a banking and finance partner in the Frankfurt office. She represents financial institutions, companies and sponsors in acquisition finance and other non-recourse or limited-recourse transactions and other areas of corporate finance. She also advises financial institutions on a broad array of financial products such as the issue of warrants and certificates.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Ms. Ungeheuer was a partner in another major international law firm. She also worked in the legal department of a major German bank.
She is listed as a "leading name" for bank lending and acquisition finance by JUVE 2013/14 and The Legal 500 EMEA 2013. Chambers Global 2013 features Ms. Ungeheuer in Band 1 for acquisition finance and syndicated lending. In Handelsblatt Best Lawyers 2013 she is listed as one of the top lawyers for banking and finance as well as acquisition finance in Germany.
In addition to her German legal qualifications, which include a Ph.D. (Dr. jur., 1995), she studied law in Keele/England and is a trained banker (Bankkauffrau). She was a full time assistant lecturer at the Institute for Business and Civil Law at the University of Frankfurt.
