Brook Roberts is a partner in the firm’s San Diego office and is immediate past global Co-chair of the Insurance Coverage Practice. Mr. Roberts focuses his practice primarily on complex insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, involving a wide-range of environmental, property, casualty, investment, professional liability and other matters. He has extensive experience in state and federal courts, securing coverage for clients under virtually every type of insurance available, including comprehensive general liability, directors and officers liability, errors & omissions coverage for professionals such as engineers and architects, environmental impairment liability, builders risk, and property policies. He has represented a host of Fortune 500 companies in a variety of complex business litigation matters in federal and state courts and before domestic and international arbitration panels.
In 2012, Mr. Roberts was named a "MVP" in Insurance Law by Law360 and named one of the Top Attorneys in San Diego by the San Diego Daily Transcript. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California. Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. Roberts served as law clerk to the Honorable Barry G. Silverman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
