In Thomson Reuters’ Global Syndicated Loans Legal Advisory Review for the first half of 2012, Latham & Watkins’ global banking practice again shines with five Top 5 rankings, including three Top 3 spots. Ranked in 10 out of 12 possible categories, the firm appears more times in the published global rankings than any other US-based law firm. At the regional level, Latham ranked #2 by number of deals and #3 by deal value for Borrower-side legal counsel in the United States, advising on 34 deals valued at approximately $16.8 bn. Latham also secured three Top 5 rankings in EMEA, ranking highly by deal value for both Borrower and Lender-side counsel, and landing the #3 position for Borrower-side legal counsel by number of deals. Latham’s Lenders-side banking practice was also recognized in the Asia Pacific & Japan rankings.
