Luisa Gomez is a corporate associate in the Austin office of Latham & Watkins.
Luisa represents public and private companies, private equity investors, and venture funds in a range of complex transactions and matters, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets offerings, and general corporate governance.
Luisa maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals in US immigration and asylum cases in partnership with American Gateways and Human Rights First.
Prior to joining Latham full time, Luisa was a 1L and 2L diversity scholar and summer associate in Latham’s Austin and Orange County offices. Luisa was also a 1L summer associate at Meta, Inc. Before law school, Luisa was a high school teacher in Los Angeles through Teach for America.
While in law school, Luisa served as a student attorney in the Duke Start-Up Ventures Clinic, a consultant at Columbia Law’s Center for Public Research and Leadership (CPRL), and a staff editor of the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law & Public Policy.
