Alex Dubose is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Alex advises public and private companies, private equity funds, financial sponsors, and strategic investors in a variety of complex transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, minority and preferred equity investments, joint ventures, and general corporate matters.

He advises clients on a variety of transactions within the technology; fintech; consumer and retail; and entertainment, sports, and media industries.

Alex maintains an active pro bono practice, representing veterans with disabilities, individuals seeking asylum, and under-resourced entrepreneurs.

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Alex was a summer associate in the firm’s New York Office. He also externed at the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Enforcement and served as a student attorney, as part of the Howard University School of Law’s Civil Rights Clinic.

Alex’s experience includes representing:

  • Global private equity firm Permira in its US$6.9 billion take private acquisition of Squarespace, Inc.
  • Bridgepoint Europe VII in its acquisition of RoC Skincare from Gryphon Investors
  • Agricultural tech company Freight Farms in its business combination agreement among Freight Farms, Agrinam, and Agrinam Merger Sub, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Agrinam, by way of triangular merger
  • US Anchors and the Garfield family on the sale of US Anchors to Kinderhook Industries, LLC
  • W.P. Carey Inc. on its spinoff and conversion of 59 properties into a publicly-traded REIT
  • Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in its chapter 11 financial reorganization and restructuring process
