Asian Legal Business Picks Posit Laohaphan for 40 Under 40 List

Corporate partner Posit Laohaphan has been named to Asian Legal Business’ inaugural 40 Under 40 list. The list comprises lawyers who “are doing important deals, key disputes and other high quality work, earning accolades from their colleagues, superiors and clients in the process.” Laohaphan serves as Global Co-chair of Latham & Watkins’ Financial Institutions Group. 

Laohaphan has advised on a number of landmark transactions including advising the underwriters on the Qihoo 360 Technology $1.035 billion convertible bond, the largest-ever convertible bond issuance by a US-listed Chinese company, and C.P. Foods’ $290.4 million exchangeable bond, which received the IFR Award for Best Structured Equity Deal in 2014. He also advised Bangkok Dusit Medical Services on its $311 million convertible bond, the first ever zero-coupon convertible bond by a Thai issuer. 

Lawyers were named to the list based on the “quality and complexity of work, career achievements, as well as recommendations from clients and superiors.”
