Ora T. Fisher, a corporate partner in the Silicon Valley office of Latham & Watkins, has been named among the most powerful and influential women in California by the California Diversity Council, a non-profit organization under the National Diversity Council umbrella that champions diversity and inclusion throughout California’s academia, businesses and communities. Every two years, the California Diversity Council honors a select group of women for their business leadership, records of accomplishment, and commitment to diversity and the well-being of their communities. The 2012 “Most Powerful and Influential Women in California” list comprises 22 female leaders, including three from private law firms in the state. Fisher maintains a thriving transactional practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and general corporate matters for high technology companies, biotechnology firms and venture capital funds. She is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, serving as one of two global Vice Chairs of Latham & Watkins, and she co-chairs the firm’s Diversity Committee that monitors and addresses issues related to achievement of the firm's equal opportunity and diversity objectives.
