Asia Legal Business (ALB) named the business combination of AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc with Linkage Technologies International Holdings Limited "TMT Deal of the Year" in its 2011 China Law Awards. Latham & Watkins served as international counsel to Linkage Technologies in connection with the US$1.8 billion transaction. ALB commented that the deal allowed the company "to become the biggest telecommunication BSS/OSS provider in China and second biggest in the world."
The Latham & Watkins team was led by Hong Kong partner David Zhang, with Hong Kong partner Tim Gardner and Shanghai counsel Karen Yan.
