When Latham & Watkins opened its doors in Orange County in 1972, it was the second office in the firm. With a long and rich history in Orange County, Latham has become one of the largest law firms in the region, serving local, US and international clients in a wide variety of industries from pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices to real estate development, REITs and gaming. The office has a full-service practice combining the firm's traditional strengths in capital markets and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, litigation and tax to best service the needs of our clients.
Practice Areas
All five of the firm's departments are represented among our Orange County attorneys. Community Ties
At Latham, pro bono and community service are hallmarks of our firm, and we actively encourage all of our Orange County attorneys to give back to our community. Latham's Orange County office has been recognized on numerous occasions for its leadership in and commitment to providing pro bono service to the community. Among our many pro bono accomplishments, we provide pro bono legal services to Orange County's domestic violence shelters and recently were actively involved in a groundbreaking effort to establish a domestic violence legal clinic that serves the entire county. The firm is committed to supporting our local efforts through sponsorships, administrative support and attorney hours.
