Experience

Tom Heiden is a partner in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Heiden's practice focuses on complex and high-profile lawsuits including high-stakes energy, utility, resource and business tort disputes.

Among the clients Mr. Heiden has represented in complex litigation in recent years are Austin, San Antonio, Gen Corp, WPPSS/BPA, Commonwealth Edison, New England Power, Ford Motor Company, Meridian Automotive Systems, Novartis, Kaiser-Hill and Westinghouse.

Mr. Heiden chaired the Practising Law Institute Faculty on Corporate Responsibility for seven years, received the Distinguished Legal Service Award (Corporate Legal Times) and coached a North American Championship hockey team.

Mr. Heiden has tried cases to juries in every region of the United States. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court; District of Columbia, Sixth and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals; various United States District Courts. Mr. Heiden is admitted for specific trials in Federal and State Courts in Indiana, Alabama, Louisiana, New York, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Missouri, as well as the Michigan courts.
