Experience

M. Adel Aslani-Far is a corporate partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Mr. Aslani-Far's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, tender offers, stock and asset acquisitions, recapitalizations and joint ventures. He has substantial experience in public and private M&A transactions representing large multinational companies and investment banks. In addition, he has handled numerous special committee engagements and regularly counsels clients with respect to corporate governance and defensive matters.

Recent matters include advising Eli Lilly and Company in numerous acquisitions, including those of ImClone Systems Incorporated, the Animal Health business of Monsanto Company and a minority equity interest in United Therapeutics Corporation, as well as advising Qatar Investment Authority in its strategic alliance with NYSE Euronext for the implementation of an integrated cash and derivatives exchange in Doha, Qatar.

Mr. Aslani-Far has been recognized as a leading M&A lawyer in the 2006-2009 editions of Chambers USA - America's Leading Lawyers for Business. Mr. Aslani-Far was recognized in 2007 by The New York Times as one of the leading dealmakers on Wall Street under the age of 40.

Prior to joining Latham in August 2007, Mr. Aslani-Far was a partner at a leading New York law firm.
