Experience

Bradd Williamson is a partner in the firm's New York office, where he practices in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation. He is distinguished in Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business and the 2009 Chambers US legal guide as a leading executive compensation and employee benefits lawyer.

Mr. Williamson represents a wide variety of clients – including many private equity funds and publicly-held corporations – in the design and drafting of equity-based and other incentive compensation arrangements. In particular, Mr. Williamson regularly designs stock option plans, employee stock purchase plans, deferred compensation plans and various other types of incentive compensation plans and arrangements and advises clients with respect to tax, securities and corporate law issues that arise in connection with the establishment and administration of such plans.

In addition, Mr. Williamson represents numerous clients with respect to benefits issues in corporate mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, initial public offerings and other corporate transactions and he regularly represents employers and executives in connection with the negotiation of executive employment agreements. Mr. Williamson's practice includes all matters affecting the design, implementation and administration of tax-qualified retirement plans (including 401(k) plans, ESOPs and defined benefit plans), non-qualified deferred compensation plans and health and welfare programs. Mr. Williamson also advises clients with respect to issues that arise concerning pension fund investing.

Mr. Williamson is a member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation and of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. He graduated magna cum laude from American University Law School in 1994 and he received an LLM in Taxation from New York University in 1995.
