James Dutro is a partner in Latham & Watkins' San Francisco office and is a member of the firm's Corporate Department. He practices in connection with the firm's Health Care, Mergers & Acquisitions and Emerging Companies Practice Groups.
Mr. Dutro focuses on representing emerging and mature health care services and life sciences companies in connection with various types of transactional and regulatory matters, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, health care provider integration, private and public financing transactions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions. He has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and implementing integrated health care delivery systems and other hospital-physician business transactions, and the health care regulatory laws affecting health care services and life sciences companies.
Mr. Dutro is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is listed in the 2009 Best Lawyers in America survey in the Health Care law category and the Chambers and Partners USA - America's Leading Business Lawyers (2007 and 2008) as a leading attorney in Healthcare.
