Experience

Ora T. Fisher is member of the Executive Committee for Latham & Watkins and practices in the Silicon Valley office.  Her practice centers on mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, and general corporate matters for public and private high technology companies, biotechnology firms and venture capital funds.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Fisher was an internal consultant and a public finance banking officer at J.P. Morgan in New York.

  • National Semiconductor in numerous transactions, including its acquisitions of ComCore and Act Solar and its disposition of other businesses;
  • Yahoo! in its acquisition of Right Media and Maktoob and its announced disposition of HotJobs;
  • QLT in its acquisition of Atrix Laboratories and its disposition of certain businesses;
  • Takeda Pharmaceutical Company in its acquisition of Syrrx;
  • Conceptus, a public medical device company and Symmetricom, a public network synchronization and timing solutions company, in a broad variety of significant matters; and
  • Axys Pharmaceuticals in its sale to Applera Corporation (Celera Genomics).
