Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers Name Latham & Watkins a "2009 Best Law Firm for Women"August 11, 2009
Latham & Watkins has been recognized by Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers as a "2009 Best Law Firm for Women," marking the firm's second consecutive year on the esteemed list for its "continued attention to work-life and women’s issues." Each year the magazine honors 50 law firms that are "leading the charge for change" based on "workforce profile, family-friendly benefits and policies, flexibility, leadership, compensation, advancement and retention of women, among other criteria." Latham's PRO RATA program, which gives associates returning from parental leave an option to work a reduced pace schedule for six months without seeking prior approval, was singled out as a key work-life initiative and women-friendly policy.
